Our Japanese exchange students have had a busy week at KMS, experiencing plenty of Australian culture, school life and opportunities to connect with our students.

Throughout the week, they have enjoyed reading with our Junior Primary students, taking part in First Nations cultural activities, meeting our Year 8 and 9 students, learning the basics of netball, conducting science experiments, and creating Australian-inspired artwork. They also shared some of their own culture with our Year 7 students through crane making for Hiroshima and Nagasaki Peace Day.

It’s been a big week of learning, sharing cultures and making new connections!

Well done to our amazing Year 3–6 students on their fantastic Wakakirri performance, Radio Gaga, this week! πŸ“»βœ¨

After rehearsing since the end of Term 1, our students took the audience on a fun musical journey through the decades. Their performance has now been filmed and submitted to the Wakakirri National Story-Dance Showcase competition.

A huge thank you to Sarah Bussenschutt, Emma Turner, Jessamy Correll and Sandy Hahn, along with our families and volunteers, for all their support in making this experience possible.

We wish our students the very best in the competition! πŸ’™πŸ’›

YPSA brings together all seven public secondary schools across the Yorke Peninsula, Ardrossan Area School, Central Yorke School, Kadina Memorial School, Minlaton District School, Moonta Area School, Port Broughton Area School and Yorketown Area School, working together to create opportunities no single school could provide alone.

Whether it's Flexible Industry Programs, work experience, Local Delivery, immersion days, pathway planning or celebrating student achievements, this is where you'll see the power of collaboration in action.
πŸ‘‰ Follow the Yorke Peninsula Secondary Alliance (YPSA) and join us as we continue creating more opportunities, more choice, and stronger pathways for every young person across the Yorke Peninsula.
