Earlier this month was “Thank a Dance Teacher Day” and while this reel only captures tiny snippets, we wanted to shine a light on just how much happens behind the scenes long before a student walks in or logs on for classes or hits the stage at a competition.
Dance teachers are so much more than teachers.
They’re planners, organisers, music editors, mentors, drivers, costume designers, administrators, event coordinators, creatives, communicators and problem solvers. Some are balancing babies and businesses. Some are travelling regional roads. Some are preparing classes between everyday life. Some are training full time and chasing their dreams.
And there’s even one of us missing from this reel entirely, who is also down in Melbourne, spending her time either in the studio or settling into mum life 🍼
It takes an incredible team to keep the wheels turning, and we’re endlessly grateful for every teacher, family member and support network who helps create opportunities for our students week after week.
