The Julatten Community Centre was created by a group of volunteers that recognised a need for services that were lacking in the remote areas of Julatten, Mt Molloy, Mt Carbine, Maryfarms and surrounds. The Community Centre seeks to provide an atmosphere where adults and children experience a sense of connection to others in the local area and can become involved in supporting the services that wil

l ultimately benefit all. Within the centre is the Sunbird Children's Centre which runs a quality child care program with a government approved Kindergarten program for children aged 6mths to 5yrs. The Julatten Community Centre activities also include, but are not limited to, provision of information, advice and referral, individual support, child and family support, parenting programs, workshops and other activities. The staff at the Community Centre strive to provide a positive environment. This means that kindness, consideration, thoughtfulness, generosity and community-minded approaches are essential requirements for all members, for these are the qualities needed to maintain the services our Community Centre provides.
