Members of the SPIN team and Centre for Precision Health Centre recently published an article in the Journal of Sleep Research. The article investigated the relationship between multidimensional sleep health and work productivity in individuals living with a neurological condition.

The results from this study show individuals with poor sleep timing had more absenteeism. While those with poor sleep quality had greater presenteeism, loss in work productivity, and activity impairment. The findings from this study highlight the importance of good sleep health for optimal work productivity in people living with a neurological condition.

The SPIN Team attended the Centre for Precision Health (CPH) end of year showcase. The event celebrates the exciting research being undertaken by staff and HDR students across the centre.
Members of the SPIN Team took part in the showcase with presentations and posters. Dr. Cruickshank presented on Neurohub and findings from the workshops so far. Dr Turner presented on our ENLighTIND MS Trial, which has recently finished. Miss Lidija Milicic presented a poster on her research on Alzheimer's Disease as part of her PhD.

Researchers at Curtin University would like to speak to people with MS and the person who helps with their food preparation about their views on diet and eating well.

They hope to find out what dietary changes are made by people with MS who have someone who helps with their food prep and their views on the role of diet in MS. They will also explore what dietary resources are needed for those living with MS.

Dr Mitchell Turner from the SPIN Research Team presented at the Centre for Precision Health Seminar Series last week.
Dr Turner presented on our ENLighTIND Study, an intervention that uses green-blue light therapy on daytime sleepiness and fatigue in people living with a TBI or post-stroke. Dr Turner also presented on our upcoming studies starting in the coming months.

Edith Cowan University (ECU) hosted the Future Health and Research Innovation Fund Open Day with the Director of the Centre for Precision Health (ECU Strategic Research Centre) and Associate Dean (Medical and Health Sciences), Professor Simon Laws, as the keynote speaker.
Medical Research Minister Hon Stephen Dawson MLC also spoke at the event, stressing precision health was a key priority for the WA state government.
