In sum, those rules are: respect ourselves, others, property and the environment; keep hands, feet and objects to ourselves; speak appropriately; follow directions; move safely; and include others. Week 10 Term 3, 2023 Newsletter Dear parents, Not everything that comes out of Hollywood is bad. One thing that has sparked my interest is The Chosen series that follows the ministry of Jesus, intertwining a fictional narrative with the Gospel accounts. Back stories to characters such as St Mary Magdalene, Jairus, the woman with the hemorrhage, along with the apostles and others provide a fascinating context to Jesus' preaching, working miracles and gathering disciples....

Week 8 Term 3, 2023 Newsletter Dear parents, I want to particularly thank students and staff who are preparing their performances, artworks and menus for the Festival of the Arts. Year 5&6 students are painting sets and rehearsing their lines in order to stage the Italian play (translated into English!) The Betrothed (“I Promessi Sposi”), adapted from what is often called "the great Italian historical novel" by Alessandro Manzoni....

Though not a highly imaginative theme, the word inspire caught my eye as well as a little bit of imagination. Week 10 Term 1 2023 Newsletter Dear parents, Under skies presaging storms, Tuesday's Cross Country Carnival was run and won, with the Champion House to be announced on Monday. Some students lap up the kilometres, but most find the event to be a stretch. I am most grateful to the many parents who came to watch and volunteer.
