🐭💙 Monty on Tour – Day 31: What a journey! 🌏

30 centres later and I think I need to sit down, eat some cheese and process everything that has happened! 🧀😂

I’ve travelled across Australia and New Zealand, met SO many incredible people and learned more than this little mouse ever expected!
From Miss Toni at my very first stop, to maths tips from Jez, stickers from Miss Phoebe, laughs with Mark, clocks with Nancy, 30,000 Kip Points with Cindy, lessons with Sonia, trivia with Jenni, and finishing up my NZ adventures with Miss Danni… I’ve made some pretty special friends along the way. 💙

I’ve tackled reading, spelling, maths, clocks, puzzles and reassessments. I’ve collected Kip Points, appeared on Walls of Fame, received plenty of encouragement and somehow managed to find cheese almost everywhere I went. 🐭🧀

But the best thing I discovered? No matter which Kip door I walked through, there were amazing people inside who genuinely care about their students.

30 centres, countless new friends and one very lucky little mouse! 💙🌏

🐭💙 Monty on Tour – Day 30: Wanganui! 🇳🇿

Miss Danni told me yesterday that she would take me along to visit Wanganui, so off we went! 🚗🐭

I could already tell how proud she is of both Palmerston North and Wanganui – and I’m starting to think she knows EVERYONE! 😂 Students, families, tutors… there were hellos everywhere we went!

It was another busy visit with lots happening. The team were catching up with students, checking in to make sure everyone was doing well and seeing how they were progressing with their learning. 💙

Some students were also completing their reassessments, and WOW – the results were amazing! 🤩 It was so exciting seeing just how far they’ve come. All those lessons, practice and hard work really do add up!

I even got to have a little fun between all the learning and do a puzzle with Miss Danni and my new friend. 🧩🐭 I’m getting pretty good at these brain challenges… although I’m still convinced every puzzle should have a piece shaped like cheese! 🧀😂
I’ve been learning a lot about progress on my tour, and I think sometimes you don’t realise just how far you’ve come until you stop and look back. ⭐

🐭💙 Monty on Tour – Day 29: Palmerston North! 🇳🇿

WOW… Palmerston North, you are BUSY! 🤩

Today I got to meet Miss Danni and some of the other amazing tutors at Palmerston North, and I think this might be one of the biggest and busiest centres I’ve visited on my entire tour! There were students everywhere, tutors busy teaching and so much learning happening around me that I didn’t know where to look first. 🐭📚

I also did a little bit of eavesdropping (these ears are pretty hard to switch off! 👂😂) and heard some of the parents chatting about the feedback they receive through the Parent Portal after lessons. They were talking about how great it is to be able to see what their child has been working on and how they’re progressing.

I thought that was pretty cool too! After visiting so many centres, I know just how much happens during a Kip lesson, so it’s great that families get to share in the journey even when they’re not sitting in the lesson themselves. 💙

Thanks for having me, Palmerston North! What an incredible centre, an amazing team and SO many students working hard. I might need a little cheese break after keeping up with this place! 🧀😴

🐭💙 Monty on Tour – Day 28: Henderson! 🇳🇿

Today I made my way to Henderson and got to spend some time with the wonderful team here!

After all the learning I’ve been doing on my travels, I decided it was time to brush up on my maths again. And can I just say… the improvement is AMAZING! 🤩 All those lessons, tips from tutors and plenty of practice along the way are really starting to pay off. I barely recognise the little mouse who started this tour! 🧀➕➗

The Henderson team put me through my paces, and I was pretty proud of myself. But you know what made it even better? Kip Points! ⭐ I’ve been building up quite the collection on my travels, and there’s something very satisfying about watching those points add up after working hard.

At this rate, I’ll be a maths whiz by the time my tour is over… although I’m still waiting for someone to teach me the most important equation of all:

Off to Mount Eden today, where I met Shenal!

When I arrived, Shenal was busy completing an initial assessment with a student who was thinking about joining Kip, so naturally I sat in to see how it was done. 👀📚

WOW! I was blown away by how much the assessment helped the family understand their child’s learning — where they were doing well, where they needed some extra support and, most importantly, exactly how Kip could help them move forward. 💙

I remember being the new student not that long ago, so I know it can feel a little nerve-racking at first. But after listening to Shenal explain everything so clearly, I think I would have been ready to sign myself up too! 😂

And it turns out I wasn’t the only new student at Mount Eden today…

They enrolled! 🎉

Can’t say I blame them. I’ve been doing this Kip thing for 27 days now and I’m getting pretty good at spotting a great place to learn. 😉

I also met a few other characters while I was here! 🦘🐻🥝 Apparently these guys represent some pretty impressive milestones at Mount Eden — 50, 100 and even 150 lessons a week! 🤯

I thought I was doing well making it to 27 centres… imagine welcoming that many students through your doors every single week!
