Last Saturday we made some new insect friends, finished harvesting the snow peas, pruned the bay tree, and found what was hopefully the last caterpillar feasting on the kale.
If you’d like some fresh bay leaves for your winter soups and stews, come and grab some on Saturday— free to a good home.

Last Saturday's working bee saw that last of the beans and zucchinis. There were a few snow peas left but we will see how they are after this cold weather. We covered the garlic beds from the birds and weeded the carrots and parsnips so they are looking good. Come and join us this Saturday (9-11) for one of our last working bees before winter.

The garlic 🧄 is officially in — woohoo! What a fantastic working bee last weekend. Huge thanks to Marg for whipping up those delicious pumpkin scones (made from our very own harvest 🎃 from the week before!). They were an absolute hit.

The garden is slowing down but we still got some snow peas, the chillies are looking hot🔥 and the silver beet and kale are looking healthy 🌱

Just a quick note: there won’t be a working bee this Saturday due to the long weekend. Wishing everyone a fun, relaxing, and safe break!🌼

The garlic 🧄 is officially in — woohoo! What a fantastic working bee last weekend. Huge thanks to Marg for whipping up those delicious pumpkin scones (made from our very own harvest 🎃 from the week before!). They were an absolute hit.

Last Saturday’s working bee was a great chance to catch up with friends and welcome two new faces! The weather was incredibly windy, so we took shelter in the greenhouse and planted winter seedlings into insulated boxes.

We also harvested pumpkin, the last of the green beans and snow peas, and saved some dried beans for planting next year.

This Saturday, we’re hoping to get the garlic in the ground—and we’ll have some available for sale too. Come by the community garden between 9 and 11am, we’d love to see you there!

🌼Working bee 🐝on this Saturday (weather dependant). 🧄Planing to plant Garlic and other winter crops, and we will have organic garlic for sale for a great price. Great for eating or use it to plant your own garlic crop. We hope to see you there between 9 and 11am. 🌼
