Intermezzo in A Major, Op. 118 No 2, composed by Brahms. In memory of my dear teacher Pam. This was the last piece we were working on when she retired years ago. Sadly I missed telling her that I’ve been practising it again as part of my AMusA performance diploma program. And on her beautiful Kawaii grand of course. Thankyou to piano tuner Leigh Burgess for taking such good care of this wonderful instrument while it was in Pam’s studio and for the past ten years that it’s been in mine ❤️

Very pleased and grateful to have had another visit from our lovely and talented tuner Mr Burgess. My precious pianos and all who play, or have played, them are or were truly appreciative of his care and expertise. So glad I remembered to take photographs of the upright and grand in ‘without covers’ tuning mode. Looking forward to sharing the images when explaining to students that a piano is both a percussion and a stringed instrument 🎹❤️🎶

As much as I love my upright and grand pianos, it’s so much fun having a digital piano for playing duets without a duet partner. Celebration Overture by Catherine Rollin is a wonderful composition!

A much appreciated and eagerly anticipated visit from the lovely and very talented piano tuner Mr Leigh Burgess today. Our Ritmuller upright and Kawai grand are sounding wonderful!! Also pleased to have retrieved, after losing them inside the latter, my missing spare reading glasses (plus an envelope and a rubber stamp) 🤓🎹🎶🙂
