Our Year 8 students recently embraced adventure, challenge and teamwork at Riverlife, Kangaroo Point, as part of their Challenge Day experience. From kayaking along the Brisbane River to abseiling the cliffs, scaling rock walls, bike riding and competing in Laser Tag, the day was filled with energy, courage and connection.

This experience is a powerful extension of our Pastoral Care program, which focuses on developing the whole person - building self-awareness, resilience, emotional regulation and positive relationships. Through activities that push students beyond their comfort zones, they learn to persevere, support one another and reflect on their personal strengths and growth.

Experiences like Challenge Day not only strengthen friendships but also foster confidence, resilience and a growth mindset - skills that empower our students both in and beyond the classroom.

What a fantastic day of learning, laughter and living the Emmaus Way!

Recently, a small group of Emmaus students had the incredible opportunity to attend the Australian Student Voice Conference (SVC 2026). They participated in student led sessions, collaborative workshops, and powerful conversations about how students and teachers share decision making.

They’ve come back energised and full of ideas to continue building their agency, strengthen their participation within our school community, and to work alongside staff to create a genuinely collaborative approach to learning. Their goal is clear: to help enact authentic, meaningful change in how education is shaped at Emmaus.

Let’s get behind our Titans Cup Rugby League teams as they take to the field this Monday afternoon!

Our Year 9/10 Boys are making history, competing in Titans Division 1, a first for Emmaus Rugby League, as they take on Southport SHS. Meanwhile, our Opens Boys team will face St James, bringing strong momentum after an outstanding season so far. Leading into the Confraternity Carnival, this team remains undefeated – taking wins in all SECA games as well as their last three Titans Cup matches.

We wish both teams the very best of luck. Your hard work, determination and team spirit are something our whole Emmaus community is proud of. Go Eagles! 🏉💙

There was a strong sense of pride and excitement as our Confraternity Rugby League and QISSN Netball teams were officially presented with their 2026 jerseys earlier this week.

A special thank you to Jonathan from Cleanstate Commercial Cleaners, our major sponsor, who had the honour of presenting the jerseys to our students. We are incredibly grateful for Cleanstate’s generous support in helping our teams represent Emmaus College with pride on and off the court and field.

As our students prepare to compete, these jerseys symbolise more than just a team—they represent commitment, teamwork and the spirit of the Emmaus Way. We wish both teams the very best as they take on their respective carnivals. We can’t wait to cheer you on! 👏

Recently, our Year 7 students experienced three incredible days at their Year 7 camp. Centred on the theme ‘Coming Together’ the camp was a wonderful opportunity for students to build connection and belonging within the Emmaus College community.

From team-building and trust challenges to flying fox adventures, rope courses and escape room fun, students stepped outside their comfort zones and supported one another along the way.

Grounded in the Emmaus spirit, students also shared in moments of liturgy, prayer and reflection, strengthening both personal wellbeing and their sense of community.

We are so proud of the way our Year 7 students embraced every opportunity and strengthened connections, and of how they are confidently stepping into their secondary journey at Emmaus College.
