On Thursday, we were delighted to celebrate the incredible fathers, grandfathers, carers and special father figures in our Emmaus College community at our Donuts with Dads event. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the morning so memorable.

Events like these are a wonderful reminder of the important role fathers and paternal caregivers play in the lives of our young people. Their encouragement, support and involvement help students thrive, while the strong partnerships built between families and the College create a connected community where every child can grow and succeed.

As we celebrate Father’s Day today, we recognise the love, guidance, encouragement and support that fathers and father figures provide each day. Wishing all our Emmaus dads and families a very Happy Father’s Day!

Congratulations to Year 4 student Charles, who has been recognised for his incredible artistic talent after winning the 8-18 Years Category in the Round Mountain Estate Postcard Design Competition!

Charles' stunning kookaburra artwork captured the judges' attention, earning him a $500 gift card and a place in the estate's promotional postcard series. Even more impressively, the competition also included a donation to Charles' chosen charity, Greenbank Cricket Club, helping support the local community.

Charles' achievement is a wonderful reflection of the creativity, talent and generosity nurtured within the Emmaus College community. His award-winning artwork not only showcases his artistic ability but also highlights the diverse talents of our students and their commitment to making a positive impact beyond the classroom. Emmaus College students recently travelled to QSAC for the annual SECA Athletics Carnival, enjoying a fantastic day of competition, determination and team spirit.

Our athletes represented the College with pride, giving their best across track and field events while supporting one another every step of the way.

A special congratulations to our record breakers: ⭐ Cameron P. – New SECA records in Discus (43.70m) and Shot Put (14.90m) ⭐ Abigail M. – New SECA record in the 15 Years Girls Javelin (36.06m)

🎸🌟 Our talented Emmaus College musicians hit all the right notes at the Queensland Catholic Music Festival, bringing home an impressive collection of awards and accolades.

Our all-Year 8 Junior Rock Band impressed the judges with their confidence, skill and maturity, earning a Silver Award, while Jaxen G. was recognised with an Excellence Award for Drums.

Our Senior Rock Band delivered a powerful performance, taking home a Gold Award and the prestigious Whole Band Excellence Award. In an extraordinary milestone, this was the first time in QCMF history that an entire band has received this honour.

Both bands had the audience, judges and even the event MC dancing along, showcasing the passion, dedication and teamwork that make our Emmaus music program so special.

Congratulations to all our musicians and the staff who have supported them throughout the year. We are incredibly proud of you, of your achievements and of the way you represent Emmaus College! 🎶💙💛

Last week, our Emmaus College community came together to celebrate Bullying No Way: National Week of Action, with students exploring the importance of kindness, inclusion and respect.

Primary students contributed to a beautiful Kindness Tree, sharing the many ways they can show kindness to others. Each student decorated a link with their ideas, which were then joined together to create a colourful reminder that every act of kindness helps strengthen our community.

Our Secondary students also embraced the spirit of the week, spending lunchtime alongside Primary students for some creative fun and friendship. These special buddy activities provided opportunities to connect across year levels, build positive relationships and demonstrate the Emmaus Way in action.

Thank you to all our students and staff who helped make the week such a meaningful celebration. Together, we can create a school where everyone feels safe, valued and supported.

Do you remember the lovely story of Peggy, a Staffordshire bull terrier, and Molly, a magpie?

The incredible story about these two loveable creatures has inspired an animated television series – and one of Emmaus College’s talented staff members is voicing one of the characters!

Clarence Hart III, who has dedicated more than 30 years to teaching Senior Mathematics and Science and who wrote the Emmaus College school song "The Road", will be voicing the character of Terry the Sea Turtle in the upcoming Peggy & Molly Animated Series.

A gifted musician, songwriter and educator, Clarence brings warmth, wisdom and authenticity to the role, while also contributing original music, including the series theme song – which you can hear here: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1EYrv2BRP3/

Congratulations to Year 10 student Evie on being selected as a finalist in Brisbane Catholic Education’s Reflections on Justice: Secondary Student Art Competition! ✨

The competition invites students in Years 7-12 to explore and express what the BCE value of Justice means to them through visual art, encouraging creativity, reflection, and meaningful storytelling.

Being named a finalist is a wonderful achievement and a testament to Evie’s artistic talent and thoughtful interpretation of this important value. We are incredibly proud to see her work recognised among submissions from students across Brisbane Catholic Education.

Congratulations, Evie, on this outstanding accomplishment and for representing Emmaus College so beautifully. We wish you all the very best in the final judging!
