Last week our Junior Kindy children had a wonderful time exploring a Christmas themed sensory tray.
The children were engaged in hands on play as they touched, explored and investigated a variety of festive materials. This sensory experience encouraged curiosity, creativity and fine motor development while also supporting language as the children shared their ideas and discoveries with one another.
It was lovely to see the children so focused and immersed in their play as they explored the sights and textures of Christmas in a fun and meaningful way.

What a wonderful afternoon celebrating our Childrenās Christmas Party š
Thank you to all of our families who came along to celebrate with us. It was so lovely to see parents, siblings and extended family sharing in the fun and creating special memories with the children.
The children had an amazing time enjoying the activities, spending time with their friends and soaking up the festive atmosphere across the centre. Your support and involvement truly help make these moments so special for the children.
Thank you again for celebrating with us and for being such a valued part of our centre community.
We wish all of our families a safe and happy festive season.

š All Aboard the Tiny Tots Bus! š
Last week, our Tiny Tots worked on a special, week-long project: creating their very own bus. Each day added a new layer to their masterpiece.
First, the children painted the bus.
Then, they drew and designed the bus windows.
Next, they decorated the wheels with colour and patterns.
After that, they added photos of themselves as passengers.
Once the bus was complete, they had the best part of all ā taking turns riding inside it.
This project supported the childrenās creativity, sense of belonging and teamwork, as they worked together and shared ideas throughout each stage.

Today our Junior Kindy children explored a slime filled sensory tray with animals. This experience was planned by combining the childrenās current interest in animals with our Centre focus this week on exploring the five senses.
The children used their sense of touch to feel the slimy texture, their sense of sight to observe the colours and movements, and their sense of hearing as they created different sounds during play. Educators supported the children as they used language to describe what they could feel and see while engaging in imaginative play with the animals.
It was a wonderful hands on experience that encouraged curiosity, creativity, and sensory exploration.

Did you know children develop both fine and gross motor skills through everyday play? š§
š Fine motor skills involve small movements such as holding pencils, threading beads, or buttoning clothes.
šāāļø Gross motor skills use large muscle groups by running, jumping, climbing, and balancing!
At our centre, we create fun opportunities for both, helping children build strength, coordination, and confidence every day.

A Day in the Life with 3a. āØ
Each day across our centres is full of learning, curiosity, and connection! Using the Abecedarian Approach Australia (3a), we weave all four core areas -conversational reading, language games, learning through play, and responsive interactionsāinto the daily learning curriculums.
From morning greetings to mealtimes, play sessions, and group activities, every moment becomes an opportunity to support your childās language, cognitive, social, and emotional development.

Exploring the Galaxy
The Nursery children have been exploring light, colour, and wonder through a galaxy light experience. This was a purposefully planned experience following the childrenās excitement and fascination during our recent incursion with Maggie Moo and her room lights.
The lights created a calm and engaging environment where the babies could observe, reach, and respond to the shifting colours and patterns around them. Educators noticed the childrenās curiosity as they gazed, pointed, and interacted with the lights, exploring how movement and light can change the space around them.
This experience encouraged sensory exploration, visual engagement, and early understanding of cause and effect.
