Brave Hearts Incursion 💜
We had a very special visit from Ditto as part of our Brave Hearts incursion. The children were so excited to meet Ditto and eagerly participated as we explored important messages about keeping ourselves safe, recognising trusted adults, and knowing who we can turn to when we need help.
Through engaging conversations and activities, the children learnt about the importance of identifying people they trust and speaking to a safe adult if something doesn’t feel right. They listened carefully and confidently shared their ideas about the special people in their lives who help them feel safe, supported and cared for.
We also enjoyed a fun dance session with Ditto and learnt an important Brave Hearts song. The children enthusiastically joined in, singing and dancing along with Ditto. 💃🕺
Throughout the incursion, the children demonstrated wonderful curiosity, enthusiasm and engagement. They showed an emerging understanding that their voices matter, they can ask for help, and it is important to tell a trusted adult when they feel worried, uncomfortable or unsafe.
It was a wonderful and meaningful experience that supported the children to build confidence, awareness and language around personal safety in a positive, respectful and age-appropriate way. 💜
