On Sunday the community got together and participated in a very important eventāClean Up Australia Day! It was great to see such a great turnout from Teds, and the hours spent working together significantly improved the well-being of our swamp (by 29 bags worth of rubbish) as well as giving the college a great start in our campaign for the inter-college charity shield.
Shoutout to our Charity Officer Catherine Manca for organizing and running the event

Last weekend at the ResChallenge swimming carnival there was a great turnout from new and returning residents of Edwards Hall. This is the first inter-college sporting event of the year, and everybody always has a great time representing their college in the stands or in the pool.
Through amazing effort, support, and determination the swimmers of Teds managed to win multiple events outright and took home the overall win in the end.
Male 50 meter freestyle ā First
Mixed medley relay ā First
Female 50 Meter freestyle ā Second

Edwards Hall played host to the first Parents Weekend in many years these past few days. It was a great success and should path the way to continuing this event in years to come.
In conjunction with the event ~$5000 was raised for headspace!

TEDs has done an awesome job once more fundraising at the Maitland Relay for Life. We would really appreciate any more donations, as it all goes to a great cause that has affected so many people close to TEDs residents. Currently we have raised just shy of $3000!!

Last night Edwards Hall hosted the 3rd Annual Mystery Bus Tour raising money and awareness for the McGrath Foundation with over $4000 already raised.
The night started in our Dining Hall with the Charity Auction, with prizes donated from Dick Smith, Yogurtland Australia, The Co-op Bookshop, Sharon Fardell, The Forum, Newcastle University Sport, Ike Bain, Christine McLoughlin, Bar on the Hill, James Readford, Josh Tubby Taylor, Benjy Mackiewicz, Connor Bath, John Lee (Rabbitohs Official Organisation) and Grill'd.
The first destination was a mystery boat cruise with Moonshadow Cruisesaround Newcastle harbour. The four buses split up here with half going to The Lass O'Gowrie Hotel and the other half to The Stag & Hunter Hotel. After about an hour here of playing āBra Pongā and listening to live music the buses reunited at Finnegan's Hotel to dance the night away.
Thank you to all our hosts, contributors, donators, and attendees. Especially Lucy Judd and her Mystery Bus committee Tom Holcombe, Andrew Glanville, Owen Geard, Alex Fardell and Jake Gonzo for organising.

The Edwards Hall Mystery Bus Tour raising money for the McGrath Foundation is coming up soon. We are still on the look out for any items to be donated for our charity auction or funds directly to the cause (http://mcgrathfoundation.gofundraise.com.au/page/edwardshall2015).
All money raised will be donated to The McGrath Foundation with no money returning to the college itself. An individual, company or organisation making a donation to this cause will be thanked during the evening as well as being placed on any promotional items associated with the event. If one would like to remain anonymous, that college will respect your wishes. A receipt for tax purposes can be arranged on request.
If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact Lucy Judd on 0409578284 or at [email protected] .
