🦸‍♂️ Super J Snapshot – Term 3, Week 5 💙💛

We have another busy week ahead at Jarvisfield! We’re especially excited to welcome the North Queensland Cowboys on Monday for a skills and drills session with our Years 3–6 students. 🤠🏉

A huge congratulations also goes to Yolanda, who has been selected to compete in High Jump at the Northern Athletics Trials in Townsville next week. What an incredible achievement—we wish her all the very best! 🌟

🚻 Rule Reminder: Playing in the loo is not for you! Toilets are not play areas—use them appropriately, wash your hands and head straight back to where you need to be.

🗑️ And remember: When you're done, bin it everyone! Please put all lunch wrappers and rubbish in the bin and help keep our school looking great.

🦸‍♂️ Super J Snapshot – Term 3, Week 4 💙💛

Another exciting week of learning awaits at Jarvisfield State School! 📚

We look forward to celebrating School Photo Day, supporting our Year 6 students as they experience their transition day at Ayr State High School, and welcoming Shake & Stir Theatre Company for an engaging performance with our upper primary students.

🏉 This Friday also marks the start of our Sporting Schools AFL program, giving students the opportunity to build their skills, confidence and teamwork.

📝 Rule Reminder: Complete all work in class. Use your learning time wisely, stay focused and always try your best. Students who choose not to complete their work during lesson time will finish it during lunch before heading out to play.

Our Prep students have been busy exploring the concept of height through hands-on play with building blocks! 🧱📏

As they designed, built and compared their creations, they used mathematical language such as taller, shorter and same height, while developing problem-solving, teamwork and fine motor skills. Learning through play is a wonderful way to build strong foundations for future learning—and our Preps certainly rose to the challenge! 💙💛

🏅 Congratulations to our amazing young athletes who represented Jarvisfield State School at the District Athletics Carnival on Friday at Home Hill High School.

We are incredibly proud of the effort, determination and sportsmanship you displayed while representing our school. You gave your best, supported one another and should all be proud of your achievements.

A special congratulations goes to Yolanda, who had an outstanding competition in a closely contested battle with fellow small-school athlete Gia. Both girls demonstrated exceptional determination, resilience and respect throughout the event, showcasing the very best of school sport. Well done to you both on an inspiring performance! 💙💛
