This week our friends from The Family Co. visited the Preschool to do some art therapy workshops with the children. The Family Co. art therapy emotional regulation session provided the children with the opportunity to express themselves creatively through art making as a group- Focusing on What makes them feel Calm. The workshops were engaging and stimulating from beginning to end. The choice of learning resources such as the story and art mediums were age appropriate and encouraged the children to think deeply and express their thoughts and feelings within the group. We look forward to collaborating with The Family Co in the future on important community initiatives.

Once again this year we celebrated NAIDOC by running a market stall with all proceeds donated to Children's Ground. The children worked hard to make a range of handmade items for sale. They continued to learn about Aboriginal culture and the importance of giving to others. The preparation for the stall developed their skills in numeracy (dealing with money), literacy (writing signs and labels), creativity, and fine motor development when making the items for sale.

Thank you to our Jannali Preschool Kindergarten community for supporting this important initiative.
