✨ Creativity in action! ✨
Our Polymer Clay Earrings class last Saturday saw participants learning the fundamentals of working with polymer clay and creating their very own earrings and pendants.
From choosing the right clay, to conditioning it for the best results, everyone enjoyed exploring their creativity and crafting unique handmade pieces. πŸŽ¨πŸ’
Swipe through to see some of the amazing creations and the fun we had along the way!

πŸ‘ A Big Achievement for Our Disability Vocational Students!

Our Disability Vocational students meet every Thursday for the Building Your Skills (BYS) course, where they learn new skills, build confidence and work towards their goals.

We're proud that our first BYS group is about to complete their 6th unit, earning a Statement of Attainment in Certificate I in Access to Vocational Pathways. 🌟

Students love coming together each week to learn, connect and support one another. Many also attend our leisure classes throughout the week, building friendships and staying active in the community.

A big thank you to Alicia, our People & Culture Leader of Vocational Education, for her ongoing training, support and encouragement.

Congratulations to all our students on this fantastic achievement! πŸ‘

πŸŽ₯ Learning never stops at SGSCC!

Our Marketing Manager, David Hurley, and Disability Manager, Rachael, recently embraced the role of "students for a day" while participating in a Confidence on Camera workshop held on campus.
The experience highlighted an important message: confidence on camera isn't about perfection, it's about being authentic, comfortable, and embracing your unique strengths.
We're proud to foster a culture where learning happens at every level and where our staff continue to grow alongside our students.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to such an inspiring day, including Aceglav Creative Media and Sophie B Photography - Corporate, Headshots, Events, Weddings and Luci Brezinova for helping capture the experience.

🌟 Expanding Horizons Beyond School
For more than six months, we've been proud to welcome senior students from Aspect South East Sydney School to our campus as they participate in their Certificate II in Hospitality and Workplace Skills programs.

Five days a week, students are immersed in campus life, using our learning spaces, enjoying morning tea and lunch on the green, visiting the cafΓ©, and connecting with staff and students along the way. It's been wonderful to see their confidence grow as they build independence, develop workplace skills, and become familiar faces within our community.

Last week, we were delighted to welcome Joanne Tisdall, Principal, and Hannah, Leader of Learning and Wellbeing, to meet with our CEO, Bernadette Mills and Disability Services, Rachael Johnstone and discuss the ongoing success of our partnership.

Together, we're creating a welcoming and inclusive environment that gives students the opportunity to expand their horizons beyond school while building the confidence and connections that will support their next steps.

πŸ’™ A partnership built on community, opportunity, and belonging.
