The P and C have scheduled a Working Bee at Jannali East Public School on Friday 18th September from 1pm to 4pm. This will follow the school assembly scheduled for that day, so it would be great if you could stay and lend a hand.

We would love your help to tidy our gardens. Your help at any time during the working bee is welcome, come for an hour or more whatever you have time for.

Garden work being tackled is: weeding and mulching

Equipment needed is: garden shovels/forks, garden gloves, secateurs, small garden tools for weeding, plastic tubs/wheelbarrows to transport mulch from the area near the bins to the gardens.

In order to participate in the working bee all parents must complete a digital declaration and an Identification verification check.

If you haven’t already completed a digital declaration for previous volunteering this year the declaration will be emailed to you. Before the working bee you will need to bring your identification to be verified by the office staff on the day.

Father’s Day is just around the corner (Sunday 6th September for those who have forgotten), and the JEPS P&C have been busy hunting down some awesome gifts from local and small businesses for our 2026 Father’s Day Stall!

Our volunteers will hold the Father’s Day stall during class on Tuesday 1st September 2025.

All items are $5. Your child will select their item/s of choice on the day from the stall.

All purchases will come bagged – ready for gifting. All items are limited in numbers and we apologise if your child’s item of choice is sold out.

Book Week Costume Swap! 📚🦸‍♂️

Book Week is coming up on Thursday 3 September, and we’re running a costume swap at the Uniform Shop on Friday 21 & Friday 28 August!

Have a costume your kids have outgrown? We’d love your donations! Please drop clean costumes off at the School Office any day up until Friday 21 August. Inside a zip-lock bag would be wonderful!

Costumes will be available to purchase from the Uniform Shop for a gold coin donation - and you don’t need to have donated a costume to purchase one!

It’s a great way to save money, find a new Book Week favourite, and give old costumes a new life. 💛📚

DROP OFF: Clean costumes to the School Office by Friday 21 August.

PURCHASE: From 2:45pm Friday 21 August & Friday 28 August at the Uniform Shop.

COST: Gold coin donation, or $2 donation via credit card.

Jannali East Public School is proudly celebrating 70 years, and we have an exciting weekend of events planned! But we can’t do it without the incredible support of our school community.

We’re looking for volunteers to help fill 196+ roster spots across the anniversary weekend. Whether you can spare an hour, a couple of hours, or more, every contribution will help make this milestone celebration a success.

Today we proudly celebrate Australian Primary Principals Day and recognise the incredible leadership, care and dedication that primary school principals bring to their school communities every day.

It also gives us the perfect opportunity to extend a very warm welcome to our new Principal, Mrs Shepherd, to Jannali East Public School.

We are excited to begin this new chapter together and look forward to the leadership, vision and enthusiasm Mrs Shepherd will bring to our wonderful school. We know our students, staff and families will join us in making her feel right at home.

Everyone is welcome to join the next P&C meeting on Tuesday 4 August at 7.30pm.

The meeting is a great opportunity to stay updated on what’s happening around JEPS. Our Principal, Mrs Shepherd will share a school update, and we’ll also hear the latest from the Canteen, Uniform Shop, and Engagement Committee.
