Chalk painting

This was such a fun, easy activity where the children could be creative and paint anywhere on the ground. The kids loved being able to paint and watch their paintings come out in colour once it dried. Definitely give this a go.

All you need is
Corn flour
Water
Food coloring

Rainbow sensory play 🌈

This morning I set up a rainbow sensory activity where the children got to make whatever they wanted. They loved doing this they loved mixing the colours to create new colours, they would get so excited every time they made a new colour.

Making more poppy’s for Anzac Day

Earth day 🌎 clean up the ocean

With this activity I added sea animals into the water with some rubbish (paper, plastic etc) and got the kids to use their tongs to pick up the rubbish. I did this activity to help the children understand that we need to keep the rubbish out of the ocean to keep the animals safe.

They also decided to pick the animals up and save them. At one point they moved the rubbish into one tub and put the animals in the other to keep them safe. There were so many ideas that came out of this activity it was great to see, the children also had a lot of fun

Nature week - making potions out of nature 🧪🌺🌿

During nature week we also made some potions using leafs & flowers and using sticks as spoons. The children loved making potions and using the flowers to decorate their coffee. They were making lots of different things and got very creative

Anzac Day art inspiration

During the week we did some Anzac Day art we painted some poppy’s since that’s the Anzac flower. This was a good way to educate the children about Anzac Day and why we were painting poppy’s.

Poppy’s were the first flower to grow on the battle fields that’s why it’s know as the Anzac flower it represents blood and loss of life.

Earth day 🌏

Another activity we did was a painting activity. We made little earths which turned out so cool and it was mess free.

All I did was add paint drops to the paper and then taped down cling wrap and got the kids to move the paint around with their hands and it turned out looking like this. Bonus it was a sensory activity too the kids liked the feel of the paint when they moved it around.
