Hello Earthship lovers, another workshop is coming soon! Are you keen to learn about super sustainable, bushfire resilient, self-sufficient, DIY, eco homes??? This time we will be building in a mini-eco-village in Cygnet Tasmania, fully council approved and already under construction. It is a new type of Earthship, using rammed earth walls instead of the usual tyre walls. We are starting with two out of 5 Earthships that will eventually land on this beautiful north facing block not far from the township of Cygnet. The workshop will focus on construction of the light-earth (straw and clay slip) and cob (clay, sand, straw) bottle-walls over two weeks in October 2023. There will also be daily theory sessions to explain the Earthship design principles and natural earth finishes (renders).
