A great couple of days catching up with our Sydney Old Boys!

It was fantastic to reconnect over drinks at The Royal Hotel Paddington and lunch at Sala Dining, sharing plenty of stories, laughs and memories of IGS.

It is with sadness that we share the passing of Old Boy Justice Ere Kariko CBE, MBE (Class of 1974), who passed away on Tuesday evening following a short illness.

Justice Kariko had a distinguished career in Papua New Guinea, serving as a Judge of the National and Supreme Courts from 2009 and previously as President of the PNG Law Society.

A highly respected member of the IGS community, Justice Kariko leaves a significant legacy through his contribution to Papua New Guinea’s legal profession and judiciary.

We extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends and colleagues at this very sad time.

Here are a few snaps from another great IGS Golf Day.

A huge congratulations to Old Boy Harry Purcell (Class of 2024), who has qualified for the 110m Hurdles semi-finals at the World Athletics U20 Championships, running a brilliant personal best of 13.58 this morning!

We can’t wait to cheer Harry on when he lines up in the semi-final this morning at 10:40am, proudly representing Australia on the world stage.

Congratulations, Harry, the entire IGS community is behind you!

Congratulations to Old Boy Harry Purcell (Class of 2024) on his selection in the Australian team for the World Athletics U20 Championships in Oregon starting tomorrow.

Harry will take to the track on 8 August at 4.30 am (AEST) in the 110m Hurdles, proudly representing Australia on the world stage.

This incredible achievement is a testament to Harry's dedication, perseverance and countless hours of hard work and training that have brought him to this moment.

We wish Harry every success in Oregon and congratulate him on this outstanding accomplishment. Go Harry!

What a fantastic Old Boys' Day on Saturday!

It was wonderful to welcome a record number of Old Boys back to IGS Sporting Fields and on campus, with Old Boys from across the decades returning to reconnect, share stories and celebrate the Red and White spirit.

From catching up with old mates to walking the familiar grounds, the day was a reminder that once you are part of the IGS community, you're always part of the IGS family. Seeing so many generations together made for a truly special occasion and highlighted the strength of our Old Boys network.

A sincere thank you to everyone who attended and for making the day such an outstanding success.

We look forward to welcoming even more Old Boys back next year!
