🚨 ACADEMY UPDATE — MONDAY

Hi everyone ❤️

A little update on the situation at the Academy.

The plumbing issue has now been rectified, as far as we are aware, with both the plumber and Seq water attending to the issue. 🙏

Unfortunately, the studio common area itself has not yet been cleaned, as we are still waiting for a specialist biohazard cleaning team to attend. The real estate has been in contact with the cleaning company and they are planning to attend today, however, we have unfortunately not been given a confirmed time or an indication of how long the clean-up will take.

Because of this, classes for tonight are currently TBC.

👉 If we receive confirmation that the studio has been professionally cleaned and is safe to return to by around 2–3pm today, classes will go ahead as normal tonight.

👉 If we have not received confirmation by that time, unfortunately, we will need to have another day of ceased trade 🥺

As frustrating as this is, I absolutely cannot put our staff or students at risk by allowing anyone entry to the studio before it has been properly cleaned and declared safe. Exposure to sewage can carry significant health risks, so we are being advised to stay clear of the affected area until the professional clean has been completed.

I am so incredibly sorry for the inconvenience this is causing everyone. It has been a pretty rough weekend trying to get everything sorted, and unfortunately, a lot of this is outside of our control. 😔

We genuinely appreciate everyone's patience, kindness and understanding while we work through this. ❤️ We've never experienced anything like this at the Academy before, and we're doing everything we can to get the studio safely back up and running ASAP.

Memberships credits and class make ups will occur should they be postponed.
