This newspaper ad from 1994 is a little blast from Cribb Street’s past and now we’re celebrating 50 YEARS!
We’re want our wider community to join us for our 50th Anniversary Market and Celebration!

Come back to a place you remember, reconnect with familiar faces and enjoy the market stalls, coffee, face painting and celebrations as we mark 50 years of Cribb Street.

PUBLIC HOLIDAY CLOSURE
Just a friendly reminder that Cribb Street Childcare Centre will be closed on Monday 5th October 2026 for the public holiday.

We will reopen as usual on Tuesday 6 October 2026.

🦕 WHAT DID CRIBB KINDY DO TODAY?

They brought an idea of their own to life: a dinosaur garden! The children chose where to place the rocks and dinosaurs, watered the plants and watched their space become a prehistoric world for play.

Along the way, they shared ideas, made decisions together, explored their surroundings and took responsibility for caring for the garden. Our educators followed the children’s lead, giving them the time, materials and support to turn their ideas into a space they can keep exploring.

We’re so proud of our Kindy children, the archaeologists of their own learning!

We Were Little Once Too!
Our Kindy children have been having some wonderful conversations about what their educators were like when they were little.

Miss Megan our Kindergarten Teacher extend on this curiosity, our whole team brought in photographs of themselves at around the same age as the children. The children carefully examined each photo, discussed what looked different or familiar and made their guesses about which educator each photograph belonged to.

There were some very confident guesses, lots of thoughtful reasoning and plenty of laughter along the way! The true identities were revealed after, creating even more excitement as the children discovered whether their predictions were correct.

This experience sparked beautiful conversations about growing, changing and the idea that we were little too once.

What a beautiful way to finish Book Week! 📚

One of our very own parent’s wrote and illustrated a special book for her daughter about all her travel adventures, then kindly shared it with us at the centre. It was wonderful to see the story being explored and enjoyed!
