Itโs that time of year againโฆ ๐๐โค๏ธ
If youโve been part of our Facebook family for a while now, you already know the legendary State of Origin rivalry between Miss Sheree and Mr Burrows is less of a friendly debate and more of a full-season event ๐
This year was meant to be different. For the first time in years, Mr Burrows no longer had a child attending our serviceโฆ but did that stop him from keeping the feud alive? Absolutely not.
In true Origin spirit, he still managed to surprise Miss Sheree with some of his classic Queensland vs New South Wales antics, proving that once youโre part of our centre family, you never really leave ๐
Moments like these remind us that what we build here goes far beyond care and education. The connections, laughter, traditions, and relationships we create with our families stay with us long after children move on from our service.
So while the rivalry may never end, neither does the love and community we share โค๏ธ
Nowโฆ the only real question left is:
QLD or NSW? ๐

๐ฆ National Road Safety Week ๐ฆ
Sunday 17th May โ Sunday 24th May 2026
Next week we join communities across Australia in recognising National Road Safety Week โ a time to reflect on the importance of keeping ourselves, our children, and everyone in our community safe on the roads.
National Road Safety Week encourages all road users to make safe choices every time we travel. Whether we are driving, walking, riding, scooting, or cycling, we all play a role in helping prevent accidents and keeping our families safe.
Throughout the week, we will be talking with the children about simple road safety practices such as:
๐ Holding an adultโs hand near roads
๐ธ Using crossings safely
๐ Wearing seatbelts correctly
๐ Stopping, looking, listening, and thinking before crossing
Together, we can help create safer roads for everyone and teach our little learners lifelong safety habits. โค๏ธ

๐๐ผ World Bee Day ๐ผ๐
Today at Milestones Early Learning, we celebrated World Bee Day and learning all about the important role bees play in our environment! ๐๐
Bees help pollinate many of the fruits, vegetables, and flowers we enjoy every day. Without bees, our world would look very different! Through discussions, books, creative experiences, and outdoor exploration, the children are learning how we can help protect these tiny but mighty creatures. ๐๐ธ
Here are some simple ways we can support our bees:
๐ผ Plant bee-friendly flowers
๐ง Leave shallow water out for bees
๐ซ Avoid harmful pesticides
๐ฑ Care for our gardens and natural spaces
By encouraging curiosity and respect for nature, we help children build an understanding of sustainability and caring for the world around them. ๐
Happy World Bee Day! ๐๐ผ
