The last day at the PopUp Museum Project temporary exhibition at the Abbey Museum of Art and Archaeology. We can't thank them enough for allowing our small display to be on offer for their patrons for the last few months. The uninstall is complete. Now empty cases remain where once bronze and iron age jewellery sat. A Nuremberg harness with wheel lock pistol (which has now been acquired by the Abbey collection), with Zweihander, and a beautiful display of small, medium and large Indo-Persian pieces.

Last weekend was the last event for our year. I managed to cobble together an outfit. The sash is a beautiful double shot silk with pattern woven into it. It's not right, and neither is the belt I'm suspending my archery stuff from, but the sash protects my kaftan from being damaged by the belts. One belt will finish this interpretation. I also had a cosy spot to hang out for the day. It was a warm one, but a very relaxing show with this kit.

4:30am to 8pm. A long day, but our last event is finished for the year. Stay tuned for our summer change in content. We now move into project mode. Equipment repairs to prepare for next year, making new things, plus we start sharing some research bits and pieces again. Hang around, and invite your friends to follow if they're curious about our displays, what goes into them, and the inner workings!

We have one event left for the year, but it's getting too hot for our regular outfits. So this weekend we're day tripping up to the Abbey Timeline event in something a little different. We'll be breaking out some western Steppe Nomad stuff from around the 10th century. Some Magyar, Avar, Cuman type things. We'll be in the Historia camp like when we're at the medieval festival on Sunday.

Thank you so much for another fun afternoon Wiosna Polish Festival - Brisbane! It was a great day. I think they're may have been more people than last year too. It felt busier. We had a great time and look forward to next year if you'd like us back.
