What does supporting student success actually look like in an online classroom? 🤔

At The BUSY School Online, teachers regularly check in with students, provide feedback throughout their learning and help them stay on track as they work towards Years 11 and 12.

By staying connected throughout the learning journey, students receive the guidance and encouragement they need, wherever they're studying from.

Can online school still feel like school? 🤔

At The BUSY School Online, students don't learn through pre-recorded videos or work through lessons alone.

Instead, they attend live online classes led by qualified teachers, ask questions as they learn, join discssions with classmates and stay connected throughout the school day.

It's an online learning experience designed to help students complete Years 11 and 12 with the support they need along the way.

Sometimes, finding the right career starts with getting the chance to explore what’s out there ⚡

For The BUSY School Cleveland alumnus Gus, that chance led to the electrical trade and a career he genuinely enjoys.

While at The BUSY School, Gus worked with Employment Pathways Officers to explore different career options and prepare for apprenticeship opportunities. It was through that experience that he discovered electrical work was something he wanted to pursue.

Today, Gus works with Arthur’s Electrical while completing a Certificate III in Electrotechnology and Certificate II in Refrigeration.

Career exploration is an important part of the student experience at The BUSY School, alongside personalised learning and wellbeing support. From work experience to school-based apprenticeships and traineeships, students are supported to explore their interests, connect with industry and start building a pathway beyond Year 12.

Leadership in action 🤩

The BUSY School Townsville Campus Year 12 students recently took part in a Leadership Day, stepping outside the classroom to build teamwork, communication and confidence through a range of hands-on activities.

Working together to tackle challenges and support one another, students discovered different ways to step up, encourage their peers and work as a team.

Well done to all of our Year 12 students for embracing the day and giving every activity a go 👏

Clocking on to a new opportunity 👏

The BUSY School Year 11 student, Darius, has secured an apprenticeship with BG Group after completing three weeks of work experience with the team!

After deciding an automotive apprenticeship wasn't for him, Darius stayed open to new opportunities and gave a different industry a go. During his work experience with BG Group, his attitude and work ethic quickly stood out, earning him an apprenticeship with the team.

Not every career journey follows the same path, and Darius' story is a great reminder that exploring different opportunities can lead to the one that's right for you.

Nice effort, Darius 👏

A big thank you to BG Group for supporting student opportunities and helping young people take their first steps into industry.

A simple question, a powerful reminder 💛

Yesterday, The BUSY School Brisbane City Campus came together to celebrate R U OK? Day, taking time to connect, look out for one another and remember the importance of checking in.

Students and staff got involved in a range of activities, including a photo booth, Wall of Compliments, Kindness BINGO, wellbeing resources and plenty of treats, all designed to encourage meaningful conversations and remind us that asking "R U OK?" can make a real difference.

Looking out for each other isn't just for one day. It's something we can all do, every day of the year 💛

Okay Ipswich... time to make some noise! 🏆🎉

The BUSY School Ipswich has officially been named the 2026 WINNER of the Outstanding Education Services category at the Ipswich City Local Business Awards!

Since opening its doors in 2024, the Ipswich campus has had plenty to celebrate. Behind this award are students taking steps towards their futures, a team that backs them every day and plenty of hard work happening both on campus and behind the scenes.

It’s a special recognition of what’s been built in Ipswich so far, and there’s plenty more to come as The BUSY School continues working alongside the local community to create more opportunities for young people.

A huge congratulations to the Ipswich team. What a win! 💛👏

Sometimes the next step starts with seeing what’s possible 🌱

At The BUSY School, senior schooling looks a little different. Smaller classes, practical guidance and future-focused learning help students connect what they’re doing now with where they want to go next.

Students explore employment, training, apprenticeships and further study while completing Years 11 and 12.

Because school shouldn’t just feel like something to finish. It should help students see a way forward.

The right environment can change more than people realise 🌱

A smaller class. A quieter space. A teacher who has time for a proper conversation. A day that doesn't feel like too much before it even starts.

For students who’ve been trying to fit into a setting that isn’t working for them, The BUSY School offers a different way through Years 11 and 12, with more room to reset, re-engage and keep moving forward.

Some students don’t need more pressure. They need more room to breathe 🌿

A smaller class. A calmer day. A different pace. A place where school feels less like something to survive and more like something they can be part of.

For students who need something different from the usual school setting, The BUSY School offers a more flexible approach to completing Years 11 and 12.

Whether learning on campus or online, the focus stays the same: helping students to keep moving towards their goals in a way that works for them.

Fresh coats and future goals 🎨👏

The BUSY School Salisbury Campus students had a great day at last weeks Painting Your Career session with the Aussie Painters Network in Salisbury.

Seven students attended and brought fantastic engagement, respect and enthusiasm throughout the session. Even better, several students are already keen to get back into it next week, and a couple have shared interest in pursuing a school-based apprenticeship in painting. A strong step towards future pathways 👏
