The highlight was a 30min interactive educational session on impromptu speaking, presented by Cheryl Lukritz. Her session offered practical tools and strategies to help us speak confidently and think on our feet.
Whether you're a seasoned speaker or just getting started, there's always something new to take away.

So many interesting stories when you get a chance to sit and listen to others. We find that everyone has a tale worth telling and who knows who it will inspire and connect with.

We all like stories and sharing them often helps both you and others. Who knows how many people you will inspire, surprise or entertain with your recollections of a lifetime.

Thanks to Ipswich Local News for highlighting that Toastmasters is thriving in the age of AI, blending technology with a strong focus on the timeless value of human connection and personal growth.
The so called "Soft skills" of communication and leadership are still much sort after by emloyers in a digital world. Toastmasters helps people become more confident in public speaking. The ability to think and speak to issues at short notice is a valuable skill at all stages of career development.

A lively meeting today where speakers were challenged to include " grit " in framing their responses. Great word by brand new member Angie.
How easy is it to use colours and letters and a bit of imagination to use alliteration in short stories on the spot...as easy as patting the head while rubbing the tummy! Fun!
Our next meeting is on Monday 3 March at the respectable hour of 10am. Its FREE to come along as our guest to take your turn at tricky tongue-twisters or just tell us a bit of your story.
