Good Afternoon Parents & Carers
After reviewing the current flash flooding event affecting Ipswich and surrounding areas, in the interest of young people and staff safety we have made the decision for Ipswich Flexible School to remain closed for Tuesday 11 March. Given the significant rainfall experienced around Ipswich and the Lockyer Valley, travelling to school may not be possible for most of the families in our community who have been impacted by this event.
To support our young people, we will be offering a lunch onsite at school tomorrow (Tuesday) between 12pm-1pm. Young people who wish to attend the lunch must be accompanied by a parent or carer. A reminder that we have no staff supervision at school.
We will provide an update by 3pm tomorrow with regards to reopening our school.
