Creating a safe sleep environment is one of the many ways we care for children each day. From following safe sleep practices and using approved cots, to completing visual checks every 5 minutes, our educators take every step to help children rest safely and comfortably.

We also work closely with families to understand each child's individual sleep routine, because feeling safe, settled and well-rested helps children learn, grow and thrive.

💜 Safe sleep is everyone's responsibility, and it's always a priority.

Yesterday, we celebrated Early Childhood Educators’ Day — a special day to recognise the incredible people who dedicate their hearts, time and energy to caring for and educating our children.
Today, we want to shine a light on our amazing Churchill team and the dedication, hard work and sacrifices they make every single day. ❤️
What happens behind the scenes often goes unseen, but it takes so much passion, patience, commitment and love to be an early childhood educator. It’s a role that can be incredibly challenging, and not everyone truly understands just how much goes into creating a safe, nurturing, fun and educational environment for children each and every day.
To our Churchill educators — we see you, we appreciate you, and we are so incredibly grateful for everything you do. You make a difference in the lives of children and families every single day, and we couldn’t be prouder of the amazing team you are. 🌟

Ever had one of those "What should I be doing with my child?" moments? You might already have the answer at home.

Earlier this year, every Goodstart family received a What & When for Families guide for each child. If it's been tucked away in a drawer since then, now might be the perfect time to pull it back out.

The guide is packed with simple, play-based activities that support your child's learning and development at home. Best of all, it's written in your child's voice, with ideas tailored to their age and developmental stage.

From singing songs with babies and playing peek-a-boo, to "I Spy" games, storytelling and treasure hunts with older children, the activities are designed to fit naturally into everyday moments you already share together.

We know learning doesn't only happen in the classroom. Those small moments at home can help build big communication, language and literacy skills.
