Students Brodie Lawson and Louis Gaal are currently completing a Certificate II in Cookery traineeship, gaining valuable hands-on experience alongside Chef Claire and our canteen team.
As part of their traineeship, the boys head into the canteen before second break to assist with food preparation and learn practical cookery skills in a busy working environment.
Over the two-year traineeship, Brodie and Louis will complete 14 modules while building their confidence, industry knowledge and experience under the guidance of Chef Claire and our wonderful canteen staff.
A great example of students developing real-world skills while still at school.

๐๐งก Thank you, Emily! ๐งก๐
Today was an emotional day for Ripley Valley State Secondary College as we farewelled Emily Prenzler, our Foundation Deputy Principal from 2019 to 2026.
Our college came together for a special whole-school assembly, where our student leadership presented Emily with flowers and a gift from the school. Emily then rang the school bell, symbolically marking the conclusion of her time at Ripley Valley. The collective emotion from our staff and students showed just how much she has meant to our community.
Staff later gathered for a farewell morning tea filled with memories, laughter and heartfelt goodbyes.
Emily has been part of Ripley Valley from the beginning, helping shape the culture and community we know today. We thank her for her leadership, dedication and genuine care for our students, families and staff.
As Emily begins her next chapter at Bellbird Park State Secondary College , we wish her every success and happiness. Their school community is incredibly fortunate to be gaining a leader of Emilyโs calibre, compassion and dedication.
Thank you, Emily. You will be deeply missed and will always be part of the Ripley Valley story.๐ฆ
