While we were out walking around the park our friends noticed the colourful flowers & colourful leaves! 🍃 🍁 🍂
This lead to a discussion about flowers & leaves and how they are colourful and pretty! 🌸 🌺 🌹
🍁🌹🌸🍃We then came home and made a see through window for our flowers to be kept in so we can see them all the time!

World Read Aloud Day! 📚
Our book for today was ‘you are enough’ extending on this book we were able to have conversations around people being different and that it’s okay to be different and who you are! We also drew some self portraits after and enjoyed talking about them after! 🥰

📚LitWorld founded World Read Aloud Day in 2010 to celebrate the power of reading aloud to create community and amplify new stories, and to advocate for literacy as a foundational human right.

Baby play area!
The babies got fed 🥄
The babies got cuddles 🥰
The babies have their nappies changed 🚽
The babies got patted to sleep 😴
The babies played and got sung to 🎶

It’s wonderful being able to watch children model their daily routines!
Have you sat back and watched how much your child re-enacts your daily routines in play?

Baby play is allowing children to develop empathy & gain another perspective when they pretend to me the ‘mum or the dad’. They are developing nurturing skills and compassion, fine motor and self help skills along the way!

Welcome to 2022! 🎆
Just a few pics of some of our environments and experiences to start the year off!
Children’s choice this week for the experiences, this allows children to have a say in what they would like to see out and play with! Giving children a voice in regards to their learning is one of the most valuable resources an educator can have! ☀️

Christmas is a wonderful time of year! 🎄🧑‍🎄🎁🧝
We have been busy exploring Christmas activities! Learning through play by allowing children to choose what they want to do for the day!
Trains turned into a Christmas Village with wooden houses and trees specially made for us!
Decorating different types of Christmas trees with different materials!
Making brownie Christmas trees and decorating them!
Christmas painting and collages!
All encourages fine motor skills, sharing, turn taking , parallel play and many more valuable skills we need to learn!
