This week as part of Children’s Week, our friends at Bukkulla Preschool participated in the Early Childhood Australia: Build the Future activity which is based on the LEGO groups Build the Change activity which asks children to build the change they want to see around a theme.
The prompt for the Build the Future was ‘Build a place or space that is great for children’
This is what our friends created:
Cl: A school, kids like to go to school, playground and swing and a slide, stepping stones. You jump off here and go across the bridge.
F: A cubby house. This is a little slide and I’m making a roof. These are the stairs, the steps go to nowhere. They are angled and black and they are going on the house so people can get to the top. There is a secret hideout going out there too.
A: A cubby house. It has two slides, this is a blueberry bush and we grow flowers here. This means you go one at a time on the slide and not push and if you don’t fall going around you win, so it’s a challenge cubby house.
Ch: I’m making a cubby house with two flags and two chimneys. It has a fire down below and a seat on the end outside to watch the clouds. There is a little place underneath where they can go when it rains when they are far from home.
I’m making a cubby city. This one has a seat on the roof so you can have a picnic there. There is the pet scorpion in a cage.
This is another cubby it has a playground it has a slide, a tunnel slide, there is a place for babies to go when they get sleepy and another spot for when people get injured.
