Last Sunday, 4 of our dedicated students were trained for over 3 hours in the art of Lion Dancing.
Mr James Sing from Canada (past North Queenslander) trained these students ready for the Cairns Festival this coming Saturday's procession. They will be joining other Lion Dancers from all over North Queensland. I am just so proud of their perserverance and the respect they showed James and his daughter Lily. We all learnt so much. Not just the dance but their etiquettes and traditions. Thank you Zavier, Dhasheen, Jessie and Thomas.

How lucky are we at Tait's Family Martial Arts!
We had visitors from Norway. One in particular was Julian Julshamn Melkvik. Julian is a member of the Senior Norwegian National ITF team. Previously he has won a Junior World Championship for power breaking. At those championships he outperformed 14 others. He has won other awards as well.
Lucky for us he is on holidays in Australia. Even though Julian is ITF and we are WT in Australia, nothing stopped us from having so much fun with Julian teaching his favourite kicks. It was a very exciting evening. Thank you Julian.

A BIG congratulations to Thomas and Noe for passing their Probationary Black Belt in Taekwondo. They received their belts tonight.
Also, last week Navraj and Logan passed on to their next coloured belt in Taekwondo and Giacomo and Noe passed on to their next coloured belt in Hapkido.

On Saturday 20th June, Innisfail and Cairns students came together to train with each other. They are preparing for their future exams under the guidance of Master Chrys Tait and Master Cindy Rohan.
It was a lot of fun training together and learning new techniques.

Congratulations to our Superheros for passing their May exams. For Taekwondo, Elijah, Margaret and Cara.
For Hapkido, Dhasheen, Lydia, Jessie and Thomas also passed.
I have highly recommended Thomas and Noe to Grand Master Sung Soo Lee to pass their Probationary Black Belt in Taekwondo after they successfully completed the requirements of this level.
