**Teach Well Professional Development 📚**

Yesterday, St Mary’s staff travelled to Moama to join colleagues from other schools across the Diocese for a Teach Well professional development day.

Teach Well supports teachers to strengthen evidence-informed classroom practice, with a focus on areas such as explicit instruction, effective questioning, checking for understanding, lesson sequencing and strong classroom routines.

Our participation reflects St Mary’s ongoing commitment to continually improving teaching practice and maximising student achievement. We remain focused on creating **calm, predictable and purposeful classrooms**, with high expectations for every learner for the rest of this year.

A great day of professional learning, collaboration and reflection for our staff.

Athletics Day Postponed

Unfortunately, tomorrow’s Athletics Day has been postponed due to the condition of the venue following recent rainfall.

After consultation with the track manager and participating schools, it was agreed that the waterlogged grounds would not provide safe conditions for the event.

We will let families know as soon as a new date is confirmed. Thank you for your understanding.
