Over the long weekend, Fabian competed in the 2026 State Plate Championships. Representing Southern Districts Rugby Union, he played nine games across three days in Tuncurry, helping secure the State Championship title. Fabian is an accomplished athlete whose dedication and skill in both rugby union and rugby league has made him a standout among his peers. We are proud to see him backing up again this weekend in Parkes, where he will represent Sydney South West in the State Rugby League Championships.

The school is incredibly proud of Fabian’s achievements and commitment to excellence, on the field.

Last week, students at Denham Court Public School engaged in meaningful learning experiences as part of National Reconciliation Week and National Sorry Day. Through classroom discussions, stories, creative activities and reflection, students deepened their understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and perspectives, while exploring the importance of respect and reconciliation.

To celebrate and share their learning, students participated in a school wide competition showcasing what reconciliation means to them. We are incredibly proud of the thoughtful and creative work produced across the school. Attached are photos of the wonderful displays and student learning, which highlight our students’ commitment to building understanding, respect and stronger connections within our community.

Today is the beginning of Reconciliation Week. This year’s theme, ‘All in’, calls for us all to commit to the principles of reconciliation by moving from intention into action. It reminds us that reconciliation is a shared responsibility and we all have a role in building a future grounded in truth, respect and equity.
