Two ATC Readers Cup teams, made up of dedicated Year 5 and Year 6 students, proudly represented our school at the competition hosted by St Aidan’s. Readers Cup brings together keen young readers to test their knowledge of a selected range of books through a fast‑paced quiz that celebrates teamwork, comprehension and a shared love of literature. Our students approached the challenge with enthusiasm, determination and outstanding sportsmanship, making us incredibly proud of their valiant effort.

Music at ATC: In Their Own Words

Where passion becomes purpose, and every student finds a place to belong.
At Ambrose Treacy College, music is more than a subject, it’s a transformative experience that shapes confidence, strengthens learning, and builds community.

Our students don’t just participate in music; they live it. They rehearse with dedication, perform with pride, and discover new strengths in themselves along the way. Their stories say it best.

Through this series of student testimonials, you’ll hear firsthand how music at ATC has helped young people grow academically, creatively, and personally. From the thrill of ensemble performance to the quiet satisfaction of mastering a new skill, each student shares a unique perspective on what makes our music program such a powerful part of their school life.

These voices reflect the heart of our program, students who feel supported, inspired, and empowered to express who they are through sound.

Henry’s story is a reminder to every young musician: when you step into the music program at ATC, you’re not just learning notes, you’re learning to spread your wings and grow into the best version of yourself.

Our boys have had a huge first two days in Japan.

“I will go and come back”, the traditional phrase for a safe return, set the tone.

Osaka Aquarium, ramen and udon for lunch (plus Raven bravely trying octopus dumplings), the bright chaos of Dōtonbori, and a quiet train ride home on tired legs. Finished with the breathtaking vermilion torii of Fushimi Inari Taisha.

A huge thank you to our ATC community for generously donating your pre‑loved ATC uniforms!

Our wonderful coordinators, Mel and Sasha, are encouraging families to have a holiday clean‑out. The Secondhand Uniform Stall is on the lookout for more good‑quality ATC items, and every donation supports this fantastic P&F initiative, with all proceeds going straight back to the school.

Donations can be dropped off at Edmund Rice Reception, open 8am–4pm throughout the holidays.

We truly appreciate your generosity and ongoing support of our ATC community. With a special thank you to Mel and Sasha for your time, energy, and dedication as our P&F Secondhand Uniform Coordinators.

What an incredible day for ATC Rugby! A massive thank you to our entire ATC community for packing the sidelines on Saturday and bringing the energy for our Blue Round. Led by our Senior School students, this initiative champions mental health awareness and reminds us how powerful it is to support one another, on the field, off the field, and everywhere in between.

The atmosphere was electric with students, parents and staff turning out in force for the final round of the season. And the boys delivered outstanding performances across every team and a brilliant way to close out a fantastic season.

ATC spirit at its best.

Proud moment for Xavier after a massive few weeks of hockey.
He led both the U18 Ipswich Men’s and U16–19 MetWest teams through some incredibly close games, showing grit and leadership all the way.
Thrilled to see him named in the QLD U18 Gold squad and the QRSS Merit Team.
Darwin Nationals in July - bring it on!
