EKKA SUCCESS | Congratulations to Amelia (Year 10), who placed second in the Painting and Drawing category (13β18 years) at this year's EKKA! π©βπ¨ππ¨
Created as part of her Year 10 Visual Art assessment, Amelia's artwork explores family connection and memory through her relationship with her Poh and her garden. Through thoughtful composition and skilful acrylic painting techniques, she captures love and generational connection.

WELCOMING OUR SISTER SCHOOL π―π΅ | A warm Brigidine welcome to 22 students from Kamakura International Arts and Sciences Junior & Senior High School, one of our sister schools in Japan!
Throughout the week, our visitors have joined classes alongside their Brigidine buddies, experienced school life across Years 6 to 12, and taken part in activities celebrating Japanese language and culture.
Thank you to Mrs Owen and Ms Shiaw for creating a wonderful exchange experience.

LEARNING WITH DR SAM LLOYD | Our Junior School students welcomed author Dr Sam Lloyd as part of Science Day.
Students enjoyed a reading of her book Alight and explored the science behind bushfires while learning more about fire, nature, and the Australian environment. π₯ππΏ

SOLVING MYSTERIES | As part of their preparation for the upcoming Mock Examinations, our Year 12 English students have been studying Hamlet by William Shakespeare.
To deepen their understanding of the play's characters, motives and key events, students created murder mystery cork boards that brought the drama of Hamlet to life.

CREATIVE GENERATION EXCELLENCE AWARDS IN VISUAL ART | Our Year 11 and 12 Visual Art students spent Friday's Period 5 exploring the Creative Generation Excellence Awards in Visual Art exhibition at GOMA.
The visit offered valuable insight into conceptual art, curatorial practice and the exceptional standard of student artwork being produced across Queensland, inspiring our students as they continue to develop their own creative voices! π¨π©βπ¨
