From exploring the Great Barrier Reef and snorkelling alongside turtles to learning from marine biologists, Indigenous guides and local historians, our Year 6 students embraced every opportunity that came their way.

MISSION DAY 2026 | Every year, our students come together in their year level groups on Mission Day to hear from people making a difference in their communities!

Throughout the day, students engaged with guest speakers from the Romero Centre, Sandpoppy Weaving, the Australian Youth Climate Coalition, St Vincent de Paul, Sustainable Social, Second Chance, and the Brigidine Asylum Seekers Project (BASP), while Year 12 students also received an encouraging message from Alumna Isabel Scott (2021).

These conversations encouraged students to think about the impact they can have and the role each of us can play in creating a more just world. ✨💚

GROWING IN FAITH AND CONNECTION | Year 5 students embraced the opportunity to reflect on who they are and how they contribute to the world around them during their year level retreat in Week 10.

CREATIVE EXPLORATION | Year 10 students have been exploring experimental sculpture techniques to create works based on the idea of site and place.

Inspired by the work of Patrizia Biondi and Jessica Stockholder, students have engaged in a play-based creative process, beginning with drawing and allowing the exploration of colour, shape and texture to form the final piece.

Working with ceramics, cardboard, plaster carving, watercolours, tissue paper and photography students have been driven by material exploration.

This project highlights the diverse learning experiences available at Brigidine, where curiosity and creativity are nurtured through exploration and experimentation! ✨👩‍🎨
