The PBL focus for this week is, ‘We take turns sharing our ideas’. Students will learn how taking turns helps everyone have an opportunity to contribute, be heard and participate in class discussions. Students will practise raising their hand when they have an idea to share, remembering the idea while waiting, and responding when it is their turn.

Science Week - This year the Science week theme is, 'Seeds of Science: Nurturing knowledge for all'.

It has been great fun learning about growing new plants from the seed! Students may come home with a bag of seeds to nurture into seedlings sprouts. When this happens they can then plant them in the ground or a pot of rich soil so that the plants can grow into strong food and flower sources. The seeds that we have used for the experiment are for sunflowers and green beans!

Please help your student plant and nurture their seeds so they can learn about growing their own food!

This week we acknowledged Bullying No Way and today students wore the colour purple to further promote conversations about being kind, inclusive and helping others. The colour purple promotes strength, courage and empowerment.

Students also created statements to identify how they can demonstrate kindness, completed a range of activities at breaks and class pledges were made.
