What an exciting day it was for our Playgroup Jimbalang Ngay (and) Kinkin (children)!😍😍

Even though the it was rainy🌧 and cold, the Kinkin were succesfully turn up the ❤️‍🔥heat in Binkin (turtle) classroom with their own 🎤mini concert🤘!

Today, 3 June, we are celebrating Mabo Day to commemorate Eddie 'Koiki' Mabo.🥰

Uncle Eddie Mabo and his legal team fought for almost a decade to pave the way for Indigenous Australians to make claims on their traditional lands, leading the Australian Parliament to pass the Native Title Act.

Through this, Uncle Eddie Mabo reminded us that advancing First Nations rights is a shared responsibility rather than a passive activity❤✨

Today also marks the end of Reconciliation Week, which started on 27 May.

We were so excited😍 to see our Playgroup Jimbalang (families) come together again this week and it warmed our hearts to see the Kinkin (children) play, use their creative minds and most importantly, socialising with other Kinkin.🥰🥰

We were also equally🥰 delighted to see our Playgroup Buyang (mothers) connect with one another.
