Harmony Day Friday 20 March!

Let's celebrate Harmony Day! 9am Mercy Hall
parents and friends, please come along and celebrate Harmony Day with us.

Family, carers, and friends are warmly invited to morning tea in the Mercy Hall following the celebration.

Students come dressed in your cultural dress or orange or colorful or Aussie style (Sporty, country).

Welcome Mass and BBQ

This Friday 13th February, we are inviting all families to our Opening School Mass at 9:15 am in the church and we are looking forward to seeing many families at our WELCOME BBQ in the afternoon on Friday 13th February from 3pm-4:15pm in the amphitheatre near the front office.



Activities include:

Sausage sizzle ($2 sausage sandwich; $2 drinks)
Free Raffles (2 x Kid’s Packs)+ (2 x $75 Gift Card)
Free face-painting
Free tattoos
Free bubble blowing
DJ singing and dancing!

Christmas Concert Wednesday 19th November in Mercy Hall (5:30pm for a 6 pm start)

Next Wednesday, we welcome all families as we celebrate Christmas at St Mark’s with our annual Christmas concert on Wednesday 19th November in Mercy Hall. Our choir and students have been busy rehearsing this term.

Details are as follows:

Venue: St Mark’s Mercy Hall

Time: 6 pm (students to meet in classrooms at 5:30pm)

Concert duration: 6pm-7pm

Costumes: please come dressed in Christmas colours!

All students are expected to stay for the duration of the entire concert. Please note that no food or drink is sold on the night. We look forward to seeing you there!

Prep-Year 2 Swimming

Swimming commences next Monday 17th November at Carole Park pool for our Prep, Year 1 and Year 2 students. Students are taught by the swim coaches in small groups and supervised by their class teachers at the pool.

Please ensure that your child has each day:

Togs
Swim bag
Towel
Scuffs/thongs to wear to and from the pool
Sunscreen

When is World Kindness Day 2025?
World Kindness Day is observed on November 13th each year.

Perform Acts of Kindness: Throughout the day, consciously perform acts of kindness, such as helping a neighbor, complimenting a colleague, or donating to a charity.
Spread Positivity: Share uplifting and positive messages on social media to inspire others to be kind and compassionate.

Volunteer: Offer your time to volunteer for a local charity or nonprofit organisation that aligns with your values.
Donate: Make a donation to a charitable cause that you believe in, whether it’s for humanitarian aid, education, or healthcare.
Teach Kindness: Educate children and young people about the importance of kindness and empathy through storytelling or classroom activities.
Random Acts of Kindness: Surprise someone with a random act of kindness, such as buying a stranger’s coffee or leaving an encouraging note for a friend.
