We have a total of 7 spaces remaining across our two adult classes for Term 3.

3 in our 4-6 class and 4 in our after work class.

If you’re thinking of joining or are curious as to what goes on at our little art school, please don’t hesitate to reach out ! We do offer one free trial class if you are wanting to sample the curriculum, these just need to be organised ahead of time.

This Term we are starting off with some basics; graphite and charcoal. Then we’re heading into colour pastel, leaning into expressive and loose mark making. Then dabbling in some miniature gouache paintings before finishing off with a larger Acrylic piece. This term we are leaning into bold, large expressive mark making and focusing on specific colour relationships to strengthen our understanding of how to use colour to tell your story.

Just a few of the finished oil paintings coming out of our young adult/adult classes. Again, we encouraged students to create artworks using references they had taken themselves. On top of learning how to translate an image into a fully rendered painting, they were also tasked with the challenge of upscaling their work. Needless to say, they absolutely nailed it !

Even the unfinished pieces were blowing us away !

Such a great way to wrap up Term 2.

We are basically at max capacity for Term 3, with only a few spots left in the adults after hours class.

Some of the fantastic oil paintings completed by our primary and home school students. Many of these are original artworks, meaning the images were taken by the students themselves and translated into a painting. This was a new experience for many of them and we are so proud to see how they tackled a new challenge !

Term 2 holiday workshops are here !
These are a great way you can try out the Art School if you’ve been curious about joining our regular Terms. We think of these workshops as extra curricular classes, they are formatted in a way similar to our standard classes but we dive deeper into subjects that are valuable for budding new artists to understand.

Term 2 holiday workshops are here !

Due to popular demand, we are bringing back the Art Journal workshop for round 2 !

The kids workshop will be centred more around play and freedom of expression, whilst touching on recording keeping, journal aesthetics and the importance of keeping play as a part of your process.

The adults workshop we will delve deeper into how to plan for an artwork, how to reference styles, find inspiration, keep an aesthetic record of your findings and discuss different journal layouts.

We will also discuss and experiment with different brushes. Learning their names and how they behave differently. All the while encouraging PLAY and EXPERIMENTATION. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🩷
