🔥🌿 Nature Club – Learning Through Fire! 🌿🔥

This week at Nature Club, our students explored fire education and fire safety through hands-on outdoor learning.

With careful supervision, students learned about how fire behaves, how to identify and manage risks, and the importance of following clear safety procedures. Experiences like these help children develop confidence, responsibility, problem-solving skills and an understanding of managed risk-taking.

Fire education also provides wonderful opportunities for students to connect with the outdoors, build practical life skills and learn how to make safe and responsible choices.

A fantastic afternoon of learning, teamwork and adventure at Nature Club! 🔥🍃🪵

We have so many fantastic staff at Huntingdale, recently staff nominated colleagues for their contributions to our students and community. We had a large number of staff nominated and we congratulate all of them for what they do. Today the staff who were nominated by two or more people attended a network award ceremony. This ceremony acknowledged the work of staff in many other schools in our area. Well done Miss Foster, Mr Fern, Mrs Leask and Mrs Hornblow.

🌿 Nature Club in Action! 🌿

Nature Club is about so much more than getting outdoors and having fun! 🌳

Through hands-on, adventurous play, our students are developing confidence, independence and resilience, while learning to take appropriate risks and assess risk for themselves.

They’re also building important lifelong skills through teamwork, communication, problem solving, creativity and perseverance — working together, trying new things and learning that sometimes the best discoveries come from giving something a go! 💚

We love seeing our students grow in confidence each week and, most importantly, having a whole lot of fun along the way! 🌿🪵🔥

Nature Club has been offered to Year 3 & 4 students this term on Thursday’s after school💚

Eliza is an amazing presenter with some great ideas on how to support children with ADHD. She has presented a series of workshops to our staff, and the strategies have been invaluable.
