A hectic but incredible day sailing in Chart Their Course

What an incredible two days on the Central Coast for our Hunters Hill High School Girls competing at the NSW All Schools OZ Tag Competition.

The girls performed exceptionally well, showing fantastic skill, determination and commitment throughout the competition. Most importantly, they demonstrated great sportsmanship, teamwork and support for one another, representing Hunters Hill High with so much pride.

A very special mention to our Year 12 girls, who played their final game for the school yesterday.

Over the past six years, I have had the privilege of watching these girls play, develop and grow into the exceptional and talented players they are today. It has been such a pleasure to watch their confidence, skills and leadership grow both on and off the court.

I am going to miss having them as part of the team They have made such a wonderful contribution to our school and our sporting community, and I couldn’t be prouder of everything they have achieved.

To our Year 12 girls — thank you for the memories, the teamwork, the laughs and for always giving your best. I wish each and every one of you all the very best for your future endeavours.

Year 12 Showcase Evening 2026 - Wednesday, 19 August

Join us for the Year 12 Showcase, where students will be exhibiting their work across many subjects including Visual Arts, Drama, Music, Entertainment, English Extension, Investigating Science, Science Extension, Timber, D&T, Society and Culture, History Extension and Aboriginal Studies.

There will be an opportunity to view all of the major works from 5pm, with performances from 6pm.

On Thursday, all Year 8 classes participated in the Chinese Lion Dance Workshop. Students listened to the story of Nian to understand traditional Chinese values, and culture. They had the exciting opportunity to try on an authentic lion dance costume and perform a short routine. The workshop also introduced students to traditional Chinese musical instruments, including the cymbals and drum, allowing them to experience the vibrant sounds that accompany lion dance performances. It was a fun and exciting day for all of our Year 8 Chinese learners!

🎭✨ That’s a wrap! ✨🎭

What an incredible journey High School Musical 2 has been. After nine months of rehearsals, planning, set building, costume making and countless hours of hard work, we’ve officially taken our final bow. 💛

To our amazing cast, crew, band, staff, volunteers, and everyone who worked behind the scenes - thank you for your dedication, passion, and commitment in bringing this production to life.

To our audiences, thank you for your overwhelming support across all three performances. Your cheers, applause and encouragement made every moment on stage even more special, and we are so grateful to everyone who came along to support our students.

This production has created memories, friendships and experiences that will stay with us for years to come. Congratulations to everyone involved in making High School Musical 2 such a memorable success.

As a culmination to the Ready, Set, Sail! Resilience program. We bring six novice teachers into the boats with their students.

There a moments of success and moments of error. The responsibilities are inverted and the students guide the teachers.

It is wonderful.
