It is that time of the year when people start to consider and enrol in courses to further their professional knowledge including in the Cert IV & Diploma in Leisure and Health. There are so many RTO's and Education Providers providing courses which makes the decision of where to study a challenge. Something to consider when choosing an education provider:
* What is your best way to learn? Face to face classes, online learning, distance education where you receive your learning materials in the mail? Think carefully about how you best learn - how motivated are you - how organised are you and do you have the time to set aside for your study. Online learning sounds great but you need to be very organised and allocate specific amounts of time otherwise the study will never get completed.
* Who is offering the course you are looking to enrol in? Ask the Education Provider whether the staff are qualified and experienced in the area of leisure and health. Ask what links they have to the profession and to the industry.
* If you are looking to study via online or distance mode ask the education provider who has written the training materials - are they qualified and experienced in the area of leisure and health? There are some really poor quality training materials being used by Education Providers so ensure you ask about the quality of their training materials and clarify what you actually receive for the money you are paying.
* If you are not sure ask around - seek recommendations from others in the profession.
Redleaf Training & Consultancy offers quality training materials to Education Providers and to students enrolled in the Cert IV & Diploma of Leisure and Health. For more information please contact Redleaf - www.redleaf.com.au
