CHAPLAINCY// Yesterday, we were delighted to welcome members of the Griffiths family and special guests back to Barker for a meaningful occasion - the naming of The Rev. John Griffiths’ Chaplaincy Centre.

This moment recognised Rev. Griffiths’ lifelong connection to Barker as a student, alumnus and leader, and honoured his decades of faithful service to our community. His steadfast faith, thoughtful leadership and deep commitment have shaped generations and continue to influence the life of the School.

BACK TO BARKER DAY// A wonderful day celebrating connection, community and shared Barker history!

We were delighted to welcome Barker Alumni, spanning the Class of 1951 through to the Class of 2025, and guests from Knox for a memorable day of reunion and reflection.

The program began with School tours and visits to the Archives at 10am, followed by the Barker Alumni Gold AGM at 11am for those who graduated 50+ years ago. Guests then gathered for networking drinks and lunch with more than 160 attendees, where our guest speakers Melissa Mitchell-Gumley (Class of 2005) and Luke Reimer (Class of 2018) shared their journeys since leaving Barker. The day culminated with the Barker v Knox 1st XV Rugby match, kicking off at 3.15pm.
