🛒 What’s on your trolley today?
Polly Parade students had a fantastic time creating their own shopping trolleys and filling them with items from their shopping lists!
This fun, hands-on activity helped students develop important life skills, including identifying everyday items, following a shopping list, making choices, counting, and practising communication skills. Students explored what they might buy at the shops and worked on matching items to their lists. What would you put in your trolley? 😊

As part of National Reconciliation Week 2026, our students explored storytelling through creative shadow puppet performances in media lesson. They explored how light, shadow, sound and movement can be used to communicate ideas and bring stories to life.

Through this learning experience, students developed their understanding of respect, understanding and connection—important values at the heart of Reconciliation Week. It was fantastic to see all students engaged, confidently sharing their stories and respectfully listening to others as audience members.

As part of National Reconciliation Week, our students are participating in a variety of meaningful activities to acknowledge and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and histories.
The theme for National Reconciliation Week 2026 is All In — a call for all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every single day. Throughout the week, students have been engaging in art experiences, storytelling, classroom discussions, music, collaborative activities and Acknowledgement of Country practices that encourage respect, understanding and connection to Country.
These learning experiences help our students build awareness of the importance of reconciliation and the value of learning together in an inclusive and respectful community.
At Warringa Park School, we are proud to support opportunities that promote reflection, unity and understanding for all.

This week we are celebrating Education Week and showcasing how visual schedules support student engagement, independence, and wellbeing. By using images, symbols, and text to outline routines, visual schedules help reduce anxiety, support transitions, and provide predictability for our students.
As part of the “Showcase your School” theme, we are welcoming parents and carers into classrooms to create personalised visual schedules that support their child’s transition to school and strengthen the connection between home and school.
