A wonderfully warm, inclusive and encouraging environment to learn something new in. I knew nothing about line dancing when I started with Cactus Moon. I’ve challenged myself, my agility, my balance and my memory all with the kindness of Cynthia and the other dancers.
You won’t regret dancing with Cactus Moon. You always leave class happy with a sense of achievement and new friends.

We recently asked Keith Bell how he and Norma first started line dancing ……

“Well when we first started 30 odd years ago, it was the country music and camaraderie we enjoyed. We still have friends from back then. We heard about Mildura country music festival, got hooked on that and made a lot of new friends in Mildura, The atmosphere there was something to experience, we learnt amazing dances now called golden oldies. Peggy Grey taught us Patient Heart, then told us - now I'll show you the tags - this was our introduction to tags, Peggy and Ursula taught us some amazing dances, too many to name here. Try to imagine people standing shoulder to shoulder 10mins before the first cd was even loaded …. if you left the floor you’d be lucky to get back on, you would have to start a new line at the back lol, then Ursula handed the reins at Mildura to Darren Mitchell, who handed them to Tim Gauci, and we kept dancing, travelling and making new friends. People we met for the first time at the MCMF, (Mildura) were Ursula, Peggy, Darren, Tim, John & Jenny Hughes, Michael vera Lopez, Noel Brady, Stephen P, Ray Graham plus heaps of fellow dancers. On reflection we did dance to a lot of non country, Kylie Minogue was one. More famous people were Lizzie bootscooter, Carol McKee, Robert & Gavin, Linda P, Cynthia Rennolds , Janis and Bob.
Just love our line dancing. “
