This week, we proudly celebrate Samoan Language Week and recognise the rich culture, language, traditions and contributions of our Samoan community.
At Baden Powell College, we are fortunate to have many students, families and staff who bring Samoan culture to life within our school. Samoan Language Week provides an opportunity for us all to learn, connect and celebrate the values of family, respect, service and community that are at the heart of Samoan culture.
To our Samoan families and community members, fa'afetai tele lava for the important role you play in making our school such a vibrant and inclusive place to learn and grow.

National Reconciliation Week 2026
Australians come together to learn about our shared histories, cultures and achievements and to reflect on how we can all contribute to reconciliation in Australia.
This important week recognises two significant dates in Australia’s history:
27 May – the 1967 Referendum
3 June – the Mabo Decision

National Reconciliation Week is an opportunity for our school community to learn, reflect and grow together as we acknowledge and respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Owners of this land.
Throughout the week, students will participate in activities and discussions that promote understanding, respect and unity.

Today we celebrate and thank our amazing Education Support staff at Baden Powell College.

Our ES staff make a difference every day through their care, dedication, patience and support for students, staff and families across our college. From classrooms to wellbeing support, school administration, specialist programs and behind-the-scenes preparation, their contribution is invaluable.

A special thank you also to our lab technicians, food technology assistants, IT team who help our programs run so smoothly each day.

We are incredibly grateful for everything you do for our students and school community.
