🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️ F–2 Student Superhero Day! 🦸‍♂️🦸‍♀️

Calling all our F–2 superheroes! 💥 On Friday 11 September, we’re inviting our F–2 students to come to school dressed in their favourite superhero outfit!

Superhero Day is being held as part of Bravehearts Day and National Child Protection Week, helping to raise awareness about the importance of keeping children safe. 💜

Our F–2 students will also take part in a Bravehearts Keeping Safe incursion in Term 4, with more information to come early next term.

So, get those capes ready and let your inner superhero shine! 🌟🦸

Thank you to Sarah, Mistie and Catriona for helping to organise and facilitate our Father’s Day Stall this year! 🎁💙

Your time, support and organisation helped create such a wonderful experience for our students, who had so much fun choosing something special for their dads, grandads and special people. 🥰

Father’s & Special Persons Day Stall begins tomorrow🎁

Students will have the opportunity to bring along some money to choose a special gift for their special person on Tuesday 1 September and Wednesday 2 September.

Gifts range from $1–$5.
We recommend a maximum of $10 per child.

We’re also looking for volunteers to help run the stall between 9:30am and 2:00pm on either day. If you’re available, please contact the school office. A Volunteer Working with Children Check is required.

💜 Wear It Purple Day – Friday 28 August 💜

This Friday, we’re proud to acknowledge and celebrate Wear It Purple Day and this year’s theme, Colours of Courage.

Wear It Purple Day began in Australia in 2010 as a response to the bullying and harassment experienced by LGBTQIA+ young people. At its heart is a simple but powerful message: you are seen, you are valued and you belong.

At Mossfiel, we want all students, staff & members of our community who walk through our gates to feel safe, respected, accepted and valued for who they are. Inclusion means everyone — regardless of race, culture, s*x, ability, gender, age or s*xuality. 💜

This year, Colours of Courage reminds us that courage can be found in the everyday choices to live authentically, support others, speak up, stand beside someone and create safer, more inclusive spaces.

We’re looking for members of our school community to volunteer at Breakfast Club on Tuesday and/or Thursday mornings from 8:00–8:30am.

No experience needed — just a positive attitude and a willingness to help! 💛
