2025 Reflections - small schools doing great things!

Do you ever wonder what students in a very small school get up to??? Along with learning the core curriculum, we also have/do:

* Weekly music lessons with Richard and Kym learning guitar, drums and keyboard
* Excursions to Mont De Lancey – tour of the grounds and lunch!
* Pancake Day
* Life Education incursion with Harold the Giraffe – “Safety Rules” and “Growing Good Friends”
* Excursion to Healesville Sanctuary
* Excursion to Polly Woodside tall ship and MCG tour and Sports Museum in the city
* Attending another local primary school each Thursday to join in library, maths, art and music
* Lunch orders each Thursday or lunch orders from Launching Place bakery
* Visits to local playgrounds including Yarra Junction playground; Warburton, Emerald and Gembrook.
* Free lunches at school on Mondays and Fridays
* Mother’s Day pampering session – massage, nails, face masks!
* Mother’s Day shopping at the Don Valley Primary School stall
* Sporting Schools Term 2, 3 and 4 – Gymnastics at Healesville
* Sporting Schools Term 3 – AFL footy skills with Jett
* National Simultaneous Story Time and Pyjama Day
* Weekly sessions with Tyson from the Song Room throughout Term 2 – singing, dancing, meditating, yoga, musical instruments etc
* Excursion to see “Peter and the Wolf” stage show in Nunawading and then tour of the Chinese Museum and lunch in the city with Tyson
* Special show and lunch with families to showcase performances completed with Tyson
* ECOSS excursion term 1 – Upcycles - Bike Maintenance
* ECOSS excursion term 2 – worms and composting
