Our students celebrated Book Week recently by dressing up as characters from books they love! It was wonderful to see so much creativity, imagination and enthusiasm across our campuses. 📖

Students also got creative with some mini bookmark making, creating their own special bookmarks to take away and enjoy with their next read. 🔖

A special congratulations to Olivia from our South Morang campus, who was the Grade 4 winner of the Book Week Drawing Competition! 🎨 What a fantastic achievement, Olivia!

This week, we celebrated incredible impact of speech pathologists and the important role they play in helping young people find their voice, build confidence and communicate with the world around them.

A special shout-out to our wonderful speechie, Eve, for the incredible work she does with our students every day! 👏💙

We also recognise and thank all the staff who support our students with their communication and speech development. Your patience, encouragement and expertise make such a difference.

Across our campuses today, staff and students are wearing purple — from purple clothing to purple doors — to show support for Wear It Purple Day which raises awareness for a safer, more inclusive environment where LGBTQIA+SB young people feel safe, supported, valued and never alone.

We believe every young person deserves to feel a sense of belonging, to be celebrated for who they are, and to know they have people around them who care. 💜

Next Friday, we’re wearing purple to reinforce the importance of ensuring safe, inclusive and supportive environments for all. LGBTQIA+SB young people should be able to live and thrive in a world where they feel supported to be themselves and never feel alone.

By wearing something purple, you can help foster safe, supportive and inclusive schools and workplaces.! 💜

Unlocking futures: Discovering post-school pathways & 2027 subject choices that will help shape students’ dreams for the future. 📚

Recently Aquinas College, Ringwood hosted a wonderful Careers Expo for students, giving them the opportunity to explore their areas of interest, including post-school pathways and subjects they could study in 2027.

For our St Mary’s College students, opportunities like this highlight the value of our ongoing partnerships at each campus and how our students can explore their interests, discover new possibilities and plan confidently for their future.

🏆🏀 Secondary Schools Deaf Sports Day! 🏐🎯

A much-anticipated event on the calendar for Deaf and hard of hearing students across Victoria!

Students came together today for a fantastic day of sport, connection and fun, with something for everyone — from Handball, AFL, Netball and Basketball to Fencing, Chess, Darts and board games.

Days like these reflect what we value at St Mary’s College for the Deaf — inclusion, belonging and community. 💙
It was wonderful to see students connecting, supporting one another and enjoying the opportunity to come together.

Yesterday, our students and staff came together to celebrate St Dominic's Day — a day of faith, reflection, friendship and fun that strengthens our community. 🙏💙

Students and staff from all campuses came together at St Dominic's Church to celebrate St Dominic's Feast Day with a special Mass, honouring the founder of the Dominican Order and the values that continue to shape our college community: the Dominican pillars of prayer, study, community and service.
