Hello friends. After Lily & Dot, I've chosen some for-purpose organisations to support that align with my personal values. I'm in a fortunate position to be able to do this, and I'm mindful of that privilege. One such initiative is the Zonta Club of Hobart Inc., which is part of an international service community that advocates for a better world for women and girls. As a proud club member, I'm helping with our annual fundraiser for Kennerley Children's Homes inc. Moving On Program. What's that? Imagine growing up in the foster care system and turning 16 – soon you'll be fending for yourself. Over the past 5 years, our Zonta club has raised $10,000 for young Tasmanian women transitioning from foster care, for their further education. If you're lucky enough not to have faced such challenges in life, please consider coming along to our cocktail party on Thursday 17 September – and learning more about what else Zonta International does for our community and our world. It's pretty impressive – and perhaps because it's women-led, it's been quietly going about its impactful work since 1919 with little fanfare. I say lightly that I'm now "in my NFP era", but making a meaningful contribution on a local level that makes a positive, practical difference for women and girls is the most rewarding job. 💜

Last days to support at-risk Tasmanian kids in the $10 Tassie Mums raffle! Awesome prizes to be won 💛

We need a little help from our Tassie Mums community this weekend. 🧡

For 11 years, you've helped us grow from a small idea into a service supporting thousands of Tasmanian babies and children.

Last financial year alone, Tassie Mums supported more than 3,000 children and distributed more than $945,000 worth of essential aid.

And we're still growing.

Our dream is to eventually secure a permanent home for Tassie Mums, somewhere we won't grow out of, where the money we currently put towards rent can instead help secure our future, and where Tassie Mums can continue its work for generations to come.

Our Big Heart Raffle is one small step towards that much bigger goal.

This past June was our biggest and busiest June ever in more than 10.5 years.
It was also our third month in a row supporting more than 300 vulnerable and at-risk Tasmanian children.

While we don't ever want numbers like this to become normal, we are however incredibly proud and grateful for the support that made it possible for children all across our beautiful island state to receive the essentials they needed.

Yawl!!! We are super excited to announce another yacht rock fundraiser...at a yacht club!

This year we are supporting Tassie Mums with a huge night of smooth 70s and 80 tunes at Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania in Sandy Bay. It's a night to dress up and dance your boat shoes off.

This event SOLD OUT last year and left many disappointed.
